What We Do
The APC is dedicated to the preservation of the built environment and the conservation of materials. We like to think of it as recycling buildings. We value the craftsmanship of those who came before us as well as the quality of the materials they had to work with. Whether it is the knot free old growth lumber, hand blown glass windows or the beautiful patina of a solid brass hinge we strive to save the intrinsic and historic value of these items.

Chris Thompson, owner, has over thirty years in the field of construction. His early career was spent building and remodeling custom homes in New Jersey. While learning his trade he gravitated towards historic homes and woodwork. Central New Jersey held a wealth of historic architecture from Colonial homes, Victorian cottages to Shingle Style beach houses from which he could ply his craft.
